Helford Village

Helford is tucked away on the South side of the Helford River, a sea inlet (or ‘ria’) on the South Cornish coast just a few miles south of Falmouth.

If you do not know the area, you are in for a real treat. If you do, then you already know why you are keen to go back!

With a lovely pub, The Shipwrights, which is; always open, serves good food, very friendly, has toys for children, and has its own jetty. What is not to like?

The estuary, or ‘ria’ (a river system that was flooded when the ice melted at the end of the last ice age, like the inlets of Galicia, NW Spain) is the main attraction.
